Designing Hope: MHAOK’s Annual Impact Report
Guided by a profound commitment to housing, healing and wholeness, Mental Health Association Oklahoma (MHAOK) strives to make mental health care accessible to all. In 2022, MHAOK turned to Koch Comm to design the agency’s annual impact report that told its story with the same compassion it brings to its work. As the nonprofit’s boots-on-the-ground efforts expanded statewide to serve over 30,000 Oklahomans, this report became a vital tool to communicate this transformative approach to mental health and homelessness.
Advocacy and Action
MHAOK’s theme, Stand In, Speak Out, guided the creation of its 30-page impact report which highlighted the nonprofit’s innovative programs like street medicine, recovery support and street outreach that housed over 3,100 individuals in that year alone. Every detail of the report was crafted to reflect their core belief that everyone deserves access to mental health care and a safe place to call home. By intertwining data, real-life stories and inspiring visuals, Koch Comm ensured the report represented the nonprofit’s dual focus on advocacy and action.
A Mission of Change
Through a housing-first philosophy and unwavering dedication, MHAOK’s work continues to challenge stigmas and serve those most in need. The impact report not only celebrated its successes, but also educated readers about its efforts to prevent suicide, transform the justice system and provide housing solutions. By blending design with purpose, the impact report invited readers to join MHAOK in creating a future where no one faces mental health challenges or homelessness alone.
