#Hashout: Education in OK

Koch Communications continues its social media series, #HashOut, with our next installment about Education in Oklahoma. Special guest Sen. David Holt will join us at 12 p.m. on Feb. 8 for this #HashOut to discuss his plan to raise teacher salaries.

WHAT: #HashOut is a monthly social media gathering, and this month we are talking about the defeat of SQ 779 and the new plans to raise teacher salaries. Examples of questions we plan to ask include: Why do you think SQ 779 to raise teacher pay was defeated in November? What were the pros and cons of SQ 779? How will teacher pay raises affect the state of education in Oklahoma? How does Senate Bill 316 resemble and/or differ from SQ 779?

WHEN AND WHERE: 12 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 on Twitter. Follow @kochcomm and use the hashtag #HashOut.

WHY: #HashOut, an hour-long Twitter event, engages experts and active social media users in wide-ranging discussion on the issues surrounding one topic. #HashOut presents these subjects in an open forum to elicit honest discussions and positive outcomes.
